BREAKING: HASTERT ON RUSH LIMBAUGH
Tue Oct 03, 2006 at 11:09:24 AM PDT
at approximately 1:30 EDT, Speaker Hastert spoke on Rush Limbaugh's afternoon radio program.
Limbaugh through softballs; suggested that "his audience" were convinced that this scandel was a set up, that the Democrats "knew" about this for over a year, and "hit" the Republicans with it on the last day of the session before the recess.
Hastert's response? (See below)
He said that the pages were safe. Heck, he put them in a new building with 24 hour guards. No one knew what the messages were that were sent between Foley and the pages in question, and, yet, he/they took action to "fix" the problem.
Key Points:
1. Hassert is not resigning
2. Hassert has taken decisive action to resolve this problem.
3. The children are safe
4. The democrats (my assertion, based on his tone and audience) knew about this for a year and set the Republicans up on the lastday of the Congress's pre-election session.
5. Don't let this affect your vote--Voting for the democrats will crash the economy, raise taxes and pile on regulation.
ANALYSIS: Hastert, Rush, et. al are scared shitless.
