Wingnuts don't get Delay's Resignation....or so I thought. (Poll)

Look, I'll be honest. I don't care if DeLay broke a few laws. He was good for our side, and I'd rather have a corrupt Republican than an honest Democrat (not that there is such a thing).
And that, I think, says it all about the state of the Republican party. It ties neatly with apologists of Bush's warrentless wiretaps, or the outing a CIA operative whose work helped prove that we were lied to about going to war, or how about under-estimating the cost of the Medicare Part D program? Hell, as long as they're willing to defy the laws of physics and biology to deny the possibility of global warming or evolution (respectively), republicans don't care if their congressmen "break a few laws" (which, when translated into English, also means "supports sweatshops and the sextrade in Saipan").
So I'm shaking my head, thinking...How can this Winger not get it?....then I keep reading his post:
But by dropping out, he might as well put on a T-shirt saying, "Yes, I AM guilty!" This will paint the entire Republican Party in a bad light, and put our majority in real jeopardy.
The honorable thing for him to do would have been to resign before the primary. By waiting until now, he makes it look as though Earle or someone has something really damaging on him. Even if he's innocent, he looks incredibly guilty.
This is bad. Just really, really bad. Truthfully, I think we just lost the House.
I am reminded of the moment in the Blues Brothers where Jake is looking at the reverend (James Brown) and hearing him shout out the words: "Do you see the light?"
WINGNUT TRANSLATION: YES! YES! JESUS H. XXXXXXX CHRIST... I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT! WE ARE GOING TO LOSE!
