I've GOT to have a break from Candidate Diaries...

Good Afternoon Kossacks,

I most humbly beg this gentle plea.

Can we reserve the hour of 4 p.m. EST each day as a sort of "Happy Hour", the happiness coming from NOT posting any Candidate Diaries?

Really, I know--I KNOW--that among you are persons of passionate natures, people who must tell the world about how Barack Obama lies to us or how much of a well-meaning thug John Edwards is or how Hillary lies like a Republican, and this is the best forum in the world to get that message out.

But when six out of eight recommended diaries are dedicated to tearing down one or another front-running Democratic Candidate for President, it really is Miller Time (TM).  Really, each of you SHOULD be kicking back and enjoying a little libation, if only to recharge your batteries, soak up the latest news cycle and THEN head back into the virtual newsprint and sleeve guards to puff up your candidate while castigating the others.

You owe it to yourselves to head for the mountains, and, by 4 o'clock....

I simply have to ask, can we take a step back from the brink, and let a little civil discourse run through our collective brains...if only for an hour each afternoon?
